Care Team

Service, hospitality, and meeting needs

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

– John 13:34-35

Jesus’ command for the disciples to love each other is still a command to those who believe in Christ today, for we are all His disciples!

If you’ve got a heart for others, a desire to care for those in the congregation and those beyond the walls of TCC, and the spiritual gifts of helps and hospitality, this may be a great place for you to serve!

Opportunities to Serve

Prayer

There is no way to deny the amazing power of prayer! God loves it when His people pray, and we are called in Scripture to pray for one another as well. From the prayer chain to the Facebook prayer wall, yearly prayer vigils, prayer services, and more, this is a great opportunity for prayer warriors to unite and lift up others!

Hospitality

Whether it’s helping with meals for families who are in need due to a new birth, a medical situation, or a death in the family, being available to help with various church events, or sharing a friendly smile along the way, our hospitality team offers help and encouragement!

Funerals

At a time when families are perhaps in their lowest moments, we are there to help and comfort. From providing the family a meal before or after the service to taking care of the behind-the-scenes work for the service, we do our best to meet the family’s needs in this sad time.

Benevolence

Sometimes folks just need a helping hand in their time of need. We offer service opportunities along with the Outreach Team’s $1 for One program to serve the community, and also provide needed funds over and above if necessary. Financial help is provided on a case-by-case basis.
