Called to serve

Ross Frisbie – Senior Minister

Ross accepted the call to serve alongside TCC in 2014 as the Senior Minister. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Literature from Ozark Christian College in 2005, and has a passion for seeing the lost come to find hope and life in Christ. He is married to Abby, and they have three boys, Landon, Asa, and Maddox. When not serving the church, Ross and Abby love to take walks, go camping, and take their boys to museums and the zoo. Ross also has an avid love for woodworking.

Steve Howell – Associate Minister of Discipleship & Education

Steve has served at TCC since 2007, overseeing adult education and discipleship programs.  A graduate of Manhattan Christian College, Steve has been engaged in teaching and preaching God’s Word for over twenty years, and has a passion for making the Bible understandable and applicable. When not working in the office, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, Deb, and their two children, Jacob and Chaynee.

Jeremy Albert – Associate Minister of Creative Arts

Jeremy and his family joined hands in ministry with TCC in 2015. He is married to Lora, and they have three children, Allyson, Caedmon, and Jaxon. Jeremy spent time as a singer/songwriter in various groups before following God’s call into full time ministry. His passion is to give everyone an opportunity to lay their burdens at the foot of the cross and worship God freely in spirit and in truth. Jeremy graduated from Tabor College with a degree in Christian Ministry in 2011, and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership from Liberty University.

Mitch Myer – Youth Minister

Mitch is joining the TCC team in October 2016 as the Youth Minister. He graduated from Johnson University with a M.A. in New Testament Spiritual Formation in May 2016, previously receiving his B.S. in Business Marketing from Kansas State University. Mitch strongly desires to lead the youth of TCC and the community to a greater and deeper relationship with Christ in the hope of creating lifelong disciples. He is married to Chelsi and they are currently foster parents. In his free time, Mitch enjoys going to the movies, reading, creating memories with his family, weight-lifting, and catching up with people over coffee.

April Swang – Children’s Director

April accepted the call to serve at TCC in 2016 after serving in Oklahoma City for many years. She and Ted have been married since 1979, and they have two grown sons, Teddy and Tristan. In addition to serving in children’s ministry, April has also been a preschool director, and she and Ted have served as foster parents to over 30 young children. April is very passionate about kids, and has a huge desire to teach and show them just how much God loves them.

Andrea Novotney – Administrative Assistant

Andrea has been handling the day to day operations of the TCC office for several years. In addition to her duties within the church building, she also serves the community by handling fundraising and planning for Project Grad, a non-profit group that supports Tonganoxie High School seniors as they step out of high school and into adult life. She is married to Derek, and they have two children, Daylin and Alissa, and one step-son, Dominic.

Merelyn Stites – Treasurer

Merelyn Stites has worked as Treasurer at TCC for 16 years.  She is married to Ray, and they have two grown sons, Ross and Britain. She and Ray also enjoy their two grandchildren, Griffith and Brita.  Merelyn is a native Kansan, a graduate of Manhattan Christian College. and enjoys being back in Kansas after living in Tennessee, West Virginia, Texas, and Nebraska.
